Online registration for the 20th International Congress on Acoustics closed at 11.59pm (Sydney time) on Wednesday 18 August.

Registration fees

Full Congress Registration and Student/Retiree Registration fee includes:

• All congress sessions
• Tea/coffee each day
• Entry to the Welcome and Farewell Reception
• Entrance to the Exposition
• Congress satchel with Congress materials including CD proceedings

Accompanying Persons fee includes:

• Entry to the Welcome Reception and Farewell Function
• Entrance to the Exposition
• Entrance to the Congress Opening Ceremony on Monday 23 August
• Assistance with tours and tourist information

* Students must provide a copy of their valid student ID card as proof of their status to the Congress Secretariat
** If you are submitting more than one paper per registration, the fee for each additional paper you wish to submit is AUD150.00.

Method of payment

Payment of fees must accompany all complete registrations. Registration will not be confirmed until full payment is received. Payment can be made by the following methods:

• Credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Diners)
• Bank transfer to the Australian Bank
• Cheque  in Australian dollars payable on an Australian bank and free of any bank charges*
  *Cheques should be made payable to ICA 2010

Please note:

• Debits to your credit card, excluding accommodation, will appear as ICMS Australasia on your credit card statement.
• If you are making a credit card payment from a country outside Australia, for security reasons you must first advise your banking institution of the impending charge and authorise them to allow the charge from Australia to go through for up to 48 hours (this is due to the time difference between our countries).

Cancellations must be notified in writing to the Congress Secretariat. Cancellations made before 7 June 2010 will be refunded less AUD150.00 to cover administration costs. Refunds for cancellations received on or after 7 June 2010 will only be made in exceptional circumstances. As an alternative to cancellation, your registration may be transferred to another person on or before 7 June 2010 without incurring any cost penalty. The Congress Secretariat must be advised in writing of any alterations or transfers.

Because cancellations and registration transfers both incur charges, we advise only committed individuals to register. Availability is limited and all fees must be paid at time of registration. Students and retirees are offered special rates. Individuals needing additional financing can apply for short term loans with flexible installment payment plans and low rates. These loan types give you cash that can pay for registration, the conference dinner, and cover the additional paper submission fees.

Liability

In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the Congress Secretariat and Congress Organising Committee do not accept responsibility for loss of monies incurred by delay.
