Dear Colleagues,

The Australian Acoustical Society is delighted to have the opportunity to host the 20 th International Congress for Acoustics (ICA 2010) on behalf of the International Commission for Acoustics. The Organizing Committee invites to all those involved in any aspect of acoustics to participate in this congress and exposition. ICA 2010 will be held at the Convention Centre right on the side of Sydney Harbour from 23 to 27 August.

This international congress is only held every three years, the last being in Madrid in 2007. It provides a unique opportunity for those working in all fields of acoustics to share their knowledge and experience as well as learn from the work of others. The congress also enables registrants to meet with new researchers, to re-establish links with colleagues and to initiate collaborative work across fields of acoustics and across national and international boundaries.

The Congress will feature a broad range of high-level research and applied papers from around the world, as well as an extensive exhibition including acoustic measurement equipment, measurement systems? products for noise and vibration control and sound generation.

Each day of the congress will feature a plenary speaker presenting an overview of their field plus the latest research findings. As well, there will be distinguished speakers throughout the program. The technical program will comprise multiple streams of contributed papers as well as poster papers and tutorial sessions.

The ICA 2010 will be held at the Sydney Convention Centre which is located right on the famous Sydney Harbour and only a short walk to the city centre. There is a range of hotels and other forms of accommodation within walking distance and good transportation links throughout the city and suburbs.
